Drink and drugs do not go well together behind the wheel. TAC is cracking down with a campaign around new penalties.
Tough new penalties are coming in to play in Victoria because currently there is no offence for combined drink and drug-driving. Offenders can be charged with, or convicted of, either a drink-driving or a drug-driving offence but not both.
A Transport Accident Commission campaign launching this week aims to highlight the dangerous cocktail of drink and drugs when driving. The campaign uses the tagline ‘the effects get stronger’ to raise awareness of tough new penalties for drivers found under the influence of booze or drugs.
Clemenger developed the campaign, which will go live on 15 July in print, radio and online.
