Sorbent’s new campaign showcases the struggles of travelling, and the luxury of coming home to a roll of Sorbent.
Australian toilet paper brand Sorbent has launched a new campaign, 'Australia’s Favourite Down Under', by its new creative agency Thinkerbell.
The 30-second clip features a backpacker struggling with Amazon leaves, Japanese technology and aeroplane toilet paper before returning home to Australia, and a roll of Sorbent.
The spot is set to the same tension-building jingle as Sorbent’s iconic ads from the 90s.
“Sorbent is a classic Australian brand with a history of memorable advertising,” Thinkerbell managing partner Margie Reid says.
“Sorbent’s quest for the perfect toilet experience was something we wanted to pay homage to in this latest campaign.”
Reid says the idea was to reignite distinctive brand cues, and hopefully give people a smile in the process.
“Thinkerbell has been a brilliant partner to work with, the team helped us to deliver Sorbent’s inner magic, and we love the result,” says Sorbent marketing manager Angela Thorpe.
“The creative delivers the brand DNA in a fresh contemporary manner which will engage and delight our consumers, as will our new thick and soft Sorbent.”
Sorbent released a number of memorable ads in the 1990s, featuring celebrities such as Merv Hughes and Magda Szubanski. Check them out below.
