Celebrating 60 years of the Bathurst 1000.
Celebrating 60 years of the Bathurst 1000, as well as the successful introduction of the new Gen 3 racers, Repco and Thinkerbell knew they needed to 'Bring the Bathurst' bigger and better than ever before.
Legend has it that after his hat-trick winning run in ‘84, Peter Brock dropped his racing glove somewhere upon the track at Mt Panorama, only to be found by a wide-eyed and impressionable young race fan - so it was a stroke of luck when the glove was found for the campaign.
Kym Sutherland, GM marketing at Repco, said Bathurst is the big one; everyone’s favourite.
"And after 60 years of the Great Race, we figured we should really just turn it up and have some fun with its magic, including a few nods to some of our favourite moments and legends," she said.
Thinkerbell executive creative tinker, Ben Couzens, said in Repco's third year of Bringin’ the Bathurst, the agency knew it needed to keep raising the octane.
"When we found this bloke bragging in a pub we simply decided to follow him around with a camera. Happy to report that Angry Anderson was not harmed in the making of this work," said Couzens.
'Bringin’ the Bathurst' is running up to and throughout the race in October. It can currently be found as a long-form film, multiple cuts for TV + online, print, social, radio, POS, catalogue and digital.
