QUT Releases its next Graduate Success Story via BCM

Continuing from last month’s successful launch of QUT’s student recruitment campaign, featuring real student Kat Dorante, BCM has released the next hero story, featuring successful Education graduate, David Ashby.

For the past several years, QUT’s long-term partner, BCM, has developed brand campaigns featuring real student stories about their QUT experiences and real-world success as graduates.

This year, to reflect QUT’s vision, BCM has revisited the ‘classic’ QUT graduate success story formula, with a new twist.

“We wanted to evolve the campaign in a way that would highlight QUT graduates in the most authentic and natural way, while still focusing on great student experiences and positive employment outcomes through practical and work-integrated learning,” BCM managing director Paul Cornwell says.

“What makes David truly stand-out is his journey before and after studying at QUT. David started his career in a trade, before moving into sales where he began to value the idea of working with people one-on-one and building professional relationships. Although David was doing well in his career, he wanted to make a real difference in people’s lives.”

As a mature student, David made the life-changing decision, after two careers, to study at QUT and enrolled in a Bachelor of Education.

Through his time at QUT, David built up his knowledge and confidence, supported through real practical work placements. He is now teaching and inspiring the next generation of kids.

“Both QUT and BCM felt it important to feature a mature student in this year’s campaign as higher education is not something you finish with upon graduating," Cornwell says.

"Instead it’s a lifelong learning journey of continual personal and professional development."
