The McGrath Foundation has unveiled a light installation at Vivid Sydney, designed to create a shining message of support for those touched by breast cancer.

This unique projection, called the McGrath Foundation Mosaic is featured on the AMP ‘Sydney Cove’ building for the entirety of Vivid Sydney.

The concept behind the mosaic was to ask Australians to upload their photos and messages of support online, to then be projected as a unique light installation that portrays the many faces and stories of those touched by breast cancer.

“We are absolutely blown away that thousands of Australians have got behind this idea, allowing this installation to become a truly authentic representation of the many faces of breast cancer,” says McGrath Foundation co-founder Glenn McGrath.

Thousands of photos and messages of support were uploaded over three months, from people in each capital city as well as from rural and regional towns and suburban communities across the nation.

Celebrity ambassadors have also shown their support, including Dannii Minogue, Natalie Bassingthwaighte, Johanna Griggs and Mick Fanning, who have posted their photos and heartfelt words to feature in the mosaic.
