Adults can harness their grown up side at McDonald's
McDonald’s Australia has launched the next phase of its 'Create Your Taste' campaign, with creative from DDB Sydney.
At the heart of the campaign is an online film set to Meatloaf’s 90s power ballad, 'I’d do anything for love'.
The campaign highlights the great lengths parents will go to for their children, whether its pretending to be a horse for the little one to ride, jumping into the colour ball room that is near impossible to escape or hosting many birthday parties.
The clip takes viewers through familiar moments in a father-daughter relationship, and in the end reminds parents that a trip to McDonald’s these days caters to everyone. Create Your Taste meals allow adults to indulge in their grown-up side by building burgers with gourmet ingredients.
The campaign launched on Sunday with the online film, while TV, radio, OOH, digital, CRM, social and PR components will commence later this week, showcasing ingredients such as Tasmanian brie and Cypriot halloumi.
"It takes a brave client to buy a line like ‘How very un-McDonald’s’ and an even braver one to buy a spot with a big emotional story at its heart. There are some amazing universal truths about fathers and daughters and this spot really taps into them," DDB Group Sydney CCO Toby Talbot says.
