To the Moon and Back is an interactive room that uses sound, light and space imagery to evoke a sense of discovery that honours the 50th anniversary of the lunar landing.

Habitat Media founders Antony Neeson and Mark Vincent have created an "out of this world" interactive and inclusive installation at this year's Vivid.

To the Moon and Back (TMB) is an interactive room that uses sound, light and space imagery to honour the 50th anniversary of the lunar landing.

From the moment visitors sit in the wheelchair-accessible lunar buggy, a three minute immersive audio-visual sequence takes them to the moon and back.

Working within the theme of a "world of inclusion", Habitat Media have collaborated with young people with disabilities to design the flags that adorn the moon buggy.

Visitors will blast off from NASA’s base and rocket into orbit, then land on the moon’s surface where they will see our tiny blue planet from a very different perspective before taking off into space once more and landing safely back on earth.

“In a similar vein to last year TMB will be a roller rink that takes children of all ages and abilities on a journey to the moon and home again," Habitat Media co-managing partner Antony Neeson says.

"This year the space and LED wall is completely reconfigured to ensure that this is a new experience for those returning visitors.”

The installation will be found in Tumbalong Lights Inclusive playSPACE from launch night on Thursday 23 May and run for three weeks until 15 June.
