Football Federation Australia (FFA) has revealed the first work from Starcom and Saatchi & Saatchi.
Football Federation Australia (FFA) has released its ‘Where Heroes Are Made’ campaign for the A-League and W-League.
Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney delivered its first campaign for the brand since the agency won the business in a joint Publicis pitch with Starcom in June.
The integrated campaign promotes both the men's and women’s league and rolls out with an in-cinema brand film, TV, and executions across radio, out of home, social and digital.
FFA’s head of leagues Greg O’Rourke believes the campaign will appeal to current football fans and attract new ones.
Deputy executive director of Saatch & Saatchi Sesh Moodley says it wanted to celebrate homegrown heroes.
“The fact that so many Matildas and Socceroos end up playing overseas should serve as an inspiration to the quality of both leagues - as they all started here," Moodley says.
“'Where Heroes Are Made' is a platform to support all aspects of football in Australia, not just a campaign, so we're looking forward to continuing to discover and promote new heroes as the season unfolds."
The A-League starts next Friday and the W-League follows on 25 October.
