Forget flowers– Doritos Canada has another option to gift your sweetheart on Valentine’s Day… Ketchup Roses.
Doritos Ketchup Roses are an elegant bouquet of 12 long-stem roses made from tangy Doritos Ketchup tortilla chips. Each rose is hand-crafted with delicate petals that are hand-selected from the finest Doritos Ketchup tortilla chips… apparently.
The new ad from Doritos has a retro sales show vibe, throwing back to the time of disco and outdated grooming trends. BBDO Toronto is behind the ad, creating a mock infomercial format that says Ketchup Roses are a better alternative to flowers, chocolates or a new pair of socks.
Unfortunately for us Aussies, the Ketchup Roses are only available on Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal.
We are currently investigating what it would take to get the roses here…
