Don't watch this ad when you're feeling fragile. It could be too much emotion to take. French charity the Mimi Foundation, which offers support to cancer patients, has created a four-minute video that shows 20 cancer patients all receiving a surprise make-over with a twist.

It then filmed and photographed the reactions of the patients when they first saw the results. Each patient was under the impression the make-over would be beautiful, only to find a crazy makeover, instead.

The aim of the campaign was to capture a moment when the people felt carefree and able to forget about their illness, built out of the insight that after a diagnosis it is difficult to be carefree.

It has published a hardback book of the images that can be bought to raise money for the foundation.
