VCCP, the agency that launched in Sydney a little over a year ago to service the Compare the Market brand and run its meerkat campaign, has marked its first year by beefing up its team and picking up some other clients.
The agency has taken clients including Ancestry.com.au, Bookworld, Tafe WSI Western Sydney Institute, StyleTread.com.au and Rollie Nation.
Karen Ferry, formerly of The Monkeys and DDB, has joined as senior copywriter, Emma Morton joins from Kessels Kramer as senior art director and Nick Cole, a graduate who achieved a top three finish at the Australasian Writers and Art Directors Awards last year, takes on a creative role.
It has also moved offices – to a former brothel in Surry hills no less - to house its new team alongside sister agency Fast Track – also part of the Chime group.
VCCP managing director Peter Grenfell said: “We've had a truly great first year, but you can pat yourself on the back briefly but there's more to do in our second year.
“Transforming the fortunes of our clients is what VCCP is all about and we’re proud of what we’ve achieved in 2013 – in a tough and challenging market. Ultimately it’s the people that make an agency so I’m delighted to have fantastic new team members and a inspiring work place that will set us up for a successful 2014.”
