UM Melbourne has boosted its senior management team with the appointment OMD's Katrina Stratton as group director.

Stratton most recently worked at OMD Melbourne as business director on the Mazda Australia account, overseeing billings in excess of $50 million.

UM Melbourne managing director Wendy Gower said: "Katrina brings outstanding client leadership skills to the agency and she will be a valuable member of our senior team."

In a statement, Stratton said: "I chose to join UM because of its growing reputation and momentum in the market. I think it has a very inspiring vision, a fantastic culture and most importantly is doing great work for clients."

In October last year, newly appointed Gower bolstered the agency's digital department with the addition of three senior positions, bringing on board DDB Sydney's Anna Kismet, Coty Inc.'s Monika Kuta and Emitch's Brielie-Jean Hudson as director of digital, digital communications manager and senior account manager, respectively.

Stratton starts her new role on 12 June.
