Weight Watchers has enlisted Mahalia Barnes, contestant from hit show The Voice and daughter of rock legend Jimmy Barnes, as the face of its new weight loss marketing campaign.
Barnes is the first local brand ambassador the company has employed in more than a decade.
Barnes has produced and recorded a new song, 'Counting On You', as part of a new advertising campaign.
The song features on a new Weight Watchers television push.
The campaign was created by BMF.
Barnes said: “I hadn't weighed myself for a long time and I was pretty shocked when I did. I knew I'd gained some weight after I had my daughter Ruby, but she's three now, and the baby-weight excuse was getting a bit tired.”
