BWM creative director Rocky Ranallo has left the agency.

EXCLUSIVE: BWM Sydney creative director Rocky Ranallo has left the agency after five years in favour of a part-time creative consultant role.

Ranallo is now acting as a creative consultant two to three days a week on some BWM clients. BWM is now looking for a new creative director. Sydney ECD Rob Belgiovane has assumed Ranallo's responsibilities in the meantime.

The news comes shortly after the agency hired Murray White as Melbourne executive creative director.

The agency's chief executive Paul Williams said: “We’re grateful for the many years of service he has given us. He has been an important part of the BWM family and we wish him all the best in his retirement."

Belgiovane said: “Rocky is not only a remarkable creative but an incredible teacher. He has nurtured our growing team of creative talent, imparting his knowledge gained during many years of experience in advertising."

Ranallo added: “I’m not dead yet. [...] Don’t be surprised if I pop up on your doorstep when my calculations for retirement go terribly wrong. I’m confident that the talented team I leave behind at BWM will continue to do great work for which BWM is known for. It never ceases to amaze me how much real Australians talk about our campaigns."
