Seven Australian entries have been nominated in the inaugural Branded Content and Entertainment category, with blue chip brands like Qantas, Sony and Canon on the list.
The Cannes 2012 festival is the inaugural year for the category, and there were 45 Australian entries in total.
Meanwhile, New Zealand has been nominated twice out of just four entries.
The Qantas ‘Great Crusade’ push by Wonder Sydney was among those nominated, as was Canon’s ‘Seconds With’ and Sony’s ‘Crossing the Ice’.
Other brands to make the shortlist include Air New Zealand, Defence Force Recruiting, Jacob’s Creek Wine and 7-Eleven.
Winner for the category will be revealed on Saturday evening in Cannes (Sunday morning in Australia).
