Origin Energy is pitching its media account - and incumbent UM is not on the list having decided not to enter the fray. A spokesperson for the energy supplier confirmed that a shortlist was likely to be selected within weeks: "It will be sooner rather than later."
The tender was part of standard procurement, said the spokesman. "The incumbent was invited to re-tender but decided not to," he told AdNews.
It is understood that Enth Degree is pitch consultant for the tender. The business is thought to be worth in the region of $8 million to $9 million in billings, although Origin would not confirm that value citing commercial confidentiality.
