Nissan to crowdsource next ad from Instagram peeps

Nissan has wholeheartedly embraced the 'fan collaboration' path and will make the next ad for its Juke model out of users' Instagram videos.

The car brand is asking users to 'point, shoot and tag' their Instagram videos to be included in the ad, which will be mixed by audio-visual artist Ego.

Nissan said the idea is designed to be synonymous with Juke's 'point and shoot' handling and driving performance.

People whose videos will be chosen to be included in the ad will be invited to attend a launch event on 21 November in Melbourne. The event will also be streamed live online.

It's exciting to be involved with a combination of cutting edge music talent and Australian fans,” said Nissan executive general manager marketing Peter Clissold. “And it's a great link to the point and shoot performance.”

The campaign was developed by Nissan's creative agency, Whybin TBWA Melbourne.
