Myer has called a tender of its creative agency business with Ogilvy's three-year contract signed last year now moot.
A Myer spokesperson said the company is working through a review of its marketing and how it goes to market in response to changing customer preferences.
“We've also moved our digital model in-house and in light of those things, a review of our creative services was appropriate,” she added.
Agencies wishing to take part in the process must register by the end of this week with Expressions of Interest due by 26 August. A successful agency or a number of specialists are expected to be appointed by the end of the year.
Myer extended its relationship with Ogilvy Melbourne last year for a further three years. Ogilvy's Myer team is physically located within Myer's Docklands headquarters and will remain there throughout the pitch process. The spokesperson confirmed Ogilvy will take part in the tender.
Myer took its digital marketing in-house after undergoing a tender for its digital services last year. DTDigital, Myer's previous digital agency, still works with the brand through Ogilvy Melbourne.
A decision for Myer's media buying pitch is expected within the month.
