Leo Burnett Sydney is back on the McDonald's roster after the fast food giant consolidated its entire creative business with DDB three years ago.

McDonald's corporate communications director Ron Christianson said Leo Burnett has been appointed on a one-off summer campaign.

Christianson said: "We're pleased to be working with Leo Burnett again who has produced fantastic work in the past. At this point it is a one-off project and does not impact the long term relationship with DDB, who is a valued and trusted partner."

Leo Burnett previously shared the McDonald's account with DDB until three years ago when the brand consolidated it under DDB. The reason given at the time was because of the close relationship between McDonalds Australia and New Zealand. Leo Burnett does not have a New Zealand office.

Leo Burnett started working with McDonald's in late 2005 with one project before taking on half the account by mid-2006.
