Iris Sydney has hired former M&C Saatchi and JWT executive Penny Dixon as managing director, replacing Simon Porter.
Dixon will lead the local team across clients including City of Sydney, Diageo and Shell.
She has worked for Brand2Content, JWT Sydney, where she was general manager, DDB Sydney and M&C Saatchi, where she was managing partner.
Iris recently hired former Droga5 creative director Mike Spirkovski as executive creative director.
“After an exhaustive search, we are very happy to have Penny on board. She is a fantastic talent, who was worked with some of the nation's biggest agencies and favourite brands,” said Iris regional chief executive Luke Nathans. “Agencies are only as good as their people, and now with Penny and Spirko joining our team, I think that we're up there with the very best.”
Porter left the agency after five years. He has not revealed his plans.
