Media agency Initiative has appointed former Aegis Activations managing director David Fish as chief strategy officer.
Fish will join in early August and be a member of the agency's national management team. His responsibilities will include new product development, providing thought leadership for clients and partnering with CEO Andrew Livingston on business strategy.
He replaces Rob Pyne who is moving to a consultancy role but will remain working for Initiative on a part-time basis.
Fish's most recent role was managing director of Aegis Activations, part of Aegis Media Pacific. Before that he was national strategy director at Southern Cross Austereo, a position he held from 2009 to 2011.
Livingston said in a statement: “David has outstanding business acumen and a truly impressive marketing-strategy track record. He is also highly experienced in maximising the impact of new digital technologies and the development of market-leading strategic tools.”
