EXCLUSIVE: It’s the pitch everyone almost forgot about. Car giant Holden has reappointed its digital creative agency Visual Jazz Isobar (VJI) after a review process that lasted nearly a year.
Holden’s partner of six years, VJI has retained the account after being put on alert about a digital pitch in November, as revealed by AdNews last year. Several digital agencies were shortlisted alongside VJI.
The agency will handle consumer-facing digital activity for Holden. Previous collaborations have included Holden IQ, Barina Spark’s Designer Spark, Barina Spirited Drive and the launch of Holden Volt.
Holden digital marketing manager Joanne Stogiannis said: “Holden’s websites are among the most visited automotive sites in the country. We have been a pioneer within digital marketing and VJI’s work over the past six years has strengthened that position.
“Throughout the pitch process, VJI demonstrated a high standard of work and a true understanding of our business, the rapidly changing digital landscape and how we can best meet the needs of our customers.”
VJI managing director Konrad Spilva said: “We have loved working with the team at Holden and are stoked to be continuing our relationship with them. To be entrusted with the Holden brand is an honour and we’ve worked on some fantastic projects with them in our time, with more to come.
“It’s been a big year for our agency already and we’re delighted to continue to work with Holden. We’re looking forward to unveiling some of our latest work soon.”
At the beginning of the year, Holden’s media account shifted from Starcom to Aegis as a result of a global review. The car brand’s creative agencies are McCann and AJF Partnership.
