Marketing tech firm Kenshoo has come out on top of the pile in a Forrester Research review of social advertising management platforms, the tools through which marketers create and manage campaigns on channels such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
The report analysed seven companies and scored them on 45 criteria. Its conclusion gives the US-based firm a pretty big plug.
Forrester has not always been full of praise for Facebook's own strategy. But the firm was glowing in its appraisal of Facebook preferred marketing developer Kenshoo.
“Kenshoo is the social advertising platform category leader,” states the report. “Kenshoo has leveraged its leading capabilities in search and bid management to jump out ahead in social advertising as well... it dominates, thanks to its strong core platform, integrations with other tools, international capabilities, and strategy.”
Unofficial Facebook blog All Facebook has some other interesting excerpts from the report.
Meanwhile Melbourne startup Tiger Pistol was yesterday awarded Facebook Preferred Marketing Partner status for its platform that lets small business automate their Facebook marketing. It has also launched as a social media agency - Pistol Labs - as a social media agency with Spotlight, Ben&Jerry's and Cancer Council, NAB, Anaconda, News Corp, RAMS, Reject Shop, and Poliakov Vodka as foundation clients. It's website also lists VB and Wagamama as clients.
