David Stephenson elevated to CEO of Aegis creative

Aegis Media has promoted David Stephenson as chief executive of its creative services business, which includes leadership of Visual Jazz Isobar, Rodeo, Jumptank and more.

Stephenson was previously managing director of Aegis' digital creative division. In addition to VJI, Rodeo and innovation consultancy Jumptank, he will also lead social media agency The Social Hatch and content firm The StoryLab.

Jumptank boss Kristian Barnes has moved to Vizeum APAC chief executive.

Aegis Media ANZ chief executive Luke Littlefield said: “Over the past year, we have been incubating a number of new businesses focused on bringing to life products and services relevant to our clients in this convergent environment.

“The further bringing together of our digital creative capabilities with content curation, technology and innovation supercharges our entire creative services offering.”

Of Stephenson, Littlefield said: “David's well equipped to lead and mentor the individuals and businesses in this rapidly growing expanding part of our group. He's been an industry innovator and leader for many years, with unrivalled experience working for some of Australia's most well known creative agencies and, of course, co-founding leading digital creative agency Visual Jazz.”

Stephenson said: “Consolidating the strategy and direction of our creative services businesses in Australia and New Zealand, as well as collaborating closely with counterparts worldwide will ensure this division remains at the forefront of digital communications.”
