EXCLUSIVE: The battle for Australia's chicken market is heating up. Oporto's creative pitch has been decided. Find out which agency cracked the brief.
You clicked? Good. It's Publicis Mojo. The decision comes after a three-way pitch involving incumbent McCann, Publicis and Droga5.
An Oporto spokesperson confirmed the appointment to AdNews. McCann has held the account for four years.
While Publicis Mojo also has the Subway business out of its Brisbane office, AdNews understands it will not be giving up the account as there is "no conflict".
Oporto is facing growing competition from rival Nando's, which has increased its main media spend by more than 50% in the last 12 months. Nando's creative agency is Banjo Advertising.
Nando's spent $6.30 million on main media in the 12 months to July 2013, up from $4.12 million in the prior corresponding period, according to Nielsen. Oporto, on the other hand, spent just $2.12 million in the last 12 months, down from $3.50 million.
Oporto's media agency is STW's Bohemia Group, while Match Media handles media buying for Nando's.
