BWM Melbourne has beefed up its senior team appointing Carat's David Hearn as head of planning and promoting Nicole Miranda to general manager.
Hearn joins from the media agency landscape where he was most recently strategy director at Carat Melbourne. He has also worked at Carat London, Walker Media and Universal McCann TV.
The head of planning in Melbourne is a newly created role with Hearn to be responsible for communications and channel planning. BWM partner and executive planning director Jamie Mackay continues to be the planner on all Simplot business while Megan Hales is the Sydney-based national planning director.
Miranda is now general manager, stepping up from group account director. She joined the agency in 2011 from Ogilvy Group Melbourne.
BWM has also elevated group account director Belinda Murray to lead business director. Murray heads up the office's Simplot portfolio which includes John West, Bird's Eye, Edgells and Leggo's. Prior, she has worked at George Patterson Y&R, CHE and The Campaign Palace.
BWM Melbourne managing director Carl Ratcliff said: “These three individuals, together with creative director Shaun Branagan and myself, represent an agency freshly stoked and on fire to take Melbourne to the next level.”
