Former Eye Corp chief Mike Tyquin has officially joined Adshel as chief commercial officer, tasked with bringing in new revenue streams across Australia and New Zealand. Tyquin had been working for the out of home ad firm as a consultant.
Tyquin will report directly into Adshel’s CEO Rob Atkinson, and will sit on the company’s executive leadership team.
Tyquin stepped down as Eyecorp Australia and New Zealand boss in two years ago. He said he was looking forward to coming home to out-of-home.
"The out of home medium is at an incredibly exciting stage and I couldn’t be more pleased to be rejoining the industry," said Tyquin. "Technology and innovation are opening opportunities for advertisers to reach growing audiences in new, engaging and effective ways and no company is doing more on that front than Adshel."
"Through digitisation, trialing programmatic trading and expanding into new formats, Adshel is investing for the future in its people and products and enjoys great support from its long term shareholders, APN News and Media and Clear Channel. I am looking forward to joining Rob Atkinson and the team to continue to bring innovation and new opportunities for advertisers to the Australian and New Zealand markets."
Adshel’s CEO Rob Atkinson welcomed Mike as apermanent member of the team, expressing gratitude for the great work already achieved.
“Those of us who have already been lucky enough to work with Mike on our growth strategy have had the joy of seeing his superb commercial acumen in action,”
“I am confident we are putting the very best team together to continue to define the future of out-of-home advertising,” he added.
