Who could forget the classic John West fisherman kung-fu fighting with a bear over a freshly caught salmon? It was one of the first ever truly viral ads, and since hitting screens in 2007 has drawn over 2.6 million YouTube views.
Simplot is set to roll out a sequel to the classic campaign this Sunday, building on the 'John West, The Best' positioning to launch 'Be Your Best'.
The TV commercials, 'Into The Woods', will see the John West fisherman once again pitted against his nemesis, the bear, and will this time feature a 'beautiful heroine'. The campaign will run across TV, cinema, print, online and social media.
'Be Your Best' was created by BWM, directed by Paul Middleditch and produced by Pete Masterton from Plaza Films. Media was handled by MPG.
