The 10 ad agencies vying for cinematic glory at the ACES Awards next week have been announced by Val Morgan's judging panel.
Finalists from DDB, Clemenger BBDO Brisbane, BMF Sydney, KWP!, The Monkeys, Saatchi & Saatchi, MJW Advertising and GPY&R Sydney made it through a record pile of entries. But they will have to wait until the awards ceremony on Wednesday 19 March at Dendy Opera Quay in Sydney to see if they are crowned king of the big screen.
Damian Keogh, CEO of Val Morgan & Hoyts, commented: "We are proud to be associated with Australian-made creative and our extremely talented creative community. With an outstanding number of entries, the ACES continues to grow and goes from strength to strength each year."
The jury was made up of some of the most respected names in the media industry. Returning to chair the award, Rob Belgiovane (pictured) was joined by returning judge AdNews editor-in-chief Paul McIntyre, Anna Fawcett from Film Graphics Entertainment, Ben Welsh from M&C Saatchi, and Steve Coll from Havas.
Along with the trophy the winner receives a $25,000 cinema media schedule, a Gold Class screening and those all important points towards the AdNews Agency of the Year Rankings. Rewarding Australian-produced creative, the ACES are open to any creative that has run on TV or cinema in the past six months.
