SYDNEY: Getty Images has signed a deal with Interpublic to become the global digital media partner for the group’s advertising agencies.

Under the licensing agreement Getty becomes Interpublic’s preferred imagery partner and will provide music, video and images to agencies such as Lowe Worldwide, McCann Erickson, Universal McCann, DraftFCB and Momentum.

“With this agreement, we’re continuing to build upon an already solid partnership with Getty Images, which will provide a range of options to better serve and create great work for our own clients,” Eliseo Rojas, Interpublic’s director of global sourcing & procurement, said.

MJ Richards, Getty Images’ vice president of sales, said this development “affirms the great support we have from the marketing and advertising industries, and we are proud to have been selected by Interpublic Group as its agency of choice”.

“Interpublic Group is a world-class client and it’s great to know that they recognise Getty Images for our deep experience and excellence in our field.  We are looking forward to a fruitful partnership, delivering positive results on our client’s business.”

The agreement is effective immediately.
