Lawrence joins STW as creative consultant

SYDNEY: The former CEO of Whybin Lawrence TBWA, Neil Lawrence, has joined STW Group as a creative consultant.

While it was widely believed Lawrence would be appointed executive creative director of the 67% STW-owned creative agency Singleton Ogilvy & Mather (SOM), STW Group CEO Russell Tate said Lawrence would be joining the STW Group on 2 May.

Lawrence also confirmed he was joining the group as a consultant and not as SOM's ECD.

Despite this, Tate said Lawrence’s initial focus would be working with the new SOM management team on the development of the agency’s creative product.

"He’s a world-class creative talent who also understands the commercial realities in which our industry now operates, and the expectations that clients have today of their advertising and marketing services partners," said Tate.
