Australia has gotten its first look at season four of The Bachelorette with an extended trailer featuring former contestant Ali Oetjen airing during last night's episode of The Bachelor.

The trailer then launches into a full rendition of 'You Can't Hurry Love' by Phil Collins and features multiple love hearts labelled with titles such as 'Mr. Wrong', 'Mr. Cheater' and 'Mr. Liar'.

Ten revealed Oetjen following her appearance on Bachelor in Paradise in March this year.

Oetjen appeared on the spin-off show, after appearing in season one of The Bachelor, ending up in a relationship with former American Bachelorette contestant Grant Kemp.

After a publicised break-up with Kemp, the new trailer shows a down and out Oetjen looking somberly off into the distance before host Osher Gunsberg appears to help her "weed out the Mr. Wrongs so that you can find your Mr. Right."

While no firm date has been confirmed for the first episode, historically the show premieres within the first month following the end of The Bachelor.

Oetjen has big shoes to fill following last year's season starring Sophie Monk, which broke ratings records for the Bachelorette series.

Beating Monk's top ratings may prove difficult for Ten with viewers criticising the choice of Oetjen for the fourth season.

However, the network is also coming off the back of one of its most successful seasons of The Bachelor to date, which has seen strong week-on-week ratings with ex-Wallaby, Nick 'The Honey Badger' Cummins, fronting the show.

Last night, The Bachelor narrowly beat Nine's popular home improvement program The Block in the overnight ratings race, drawing 884,000 viewers compared to The Block's 870,000.
