Seven has parted ways with My Kitchen Rules (MKR) judge Pete Evans.

AdNews understands the split was amicable, with Evans pursuing other projects outside of the network.

Evans, a long-time judge on the reality cooking show, has recently faced criticism from experts for his health “advice”.

Last month, he was fined $25,000 by the Therapeutic Goods Administration for promoting an “energy revitalisation” device as a treatment for COVID-19.

Evan’s departure comes as MKR suffers from low ratings. This year the show, in its 11th season, attracted 553,000 metro viewers and 873,000 national viewers for its finale.

Seven hasn’t commented on how Evan’s exit impacts the future of MKR.
