Creatie shop VCCP launched a new campaign for UK energy provider First Utility, promising HD electricity created by harnessing the power of unicorn horns.
The ad starts with a group of unicorns galloping through a lightning storm, using their horns to harness HD energy to power the town and cook food faster, apparently.
The voiceover begins: “The horn of a unicorn is a powerful thing. For the first time ever, we’ve harnessed their superconductive powers.”
The message: Unicorns aren’t real, and neither is HD electricity. So why pay more?
It seems even in 2016 we won’t be escaping unicorns in advertising.
