The Monkey's latest work for UBank uses a young girl to express the emotional trauma of home loan tracking, but help is nearby.
Tracking a home loan application is usually everything but child’s play. There’s the five calls you need make, speaking to a different operator each time, often to find out very little new information.
Australian digital bank UBank, with help from The Monkeys, expresses this frustration in their latest spot through a young child.
The Dollhouse campaign shows a family-friendly dinner go rogue when one couple’s daughter re-enacts the emotional discomfort many people experience when trying to track the progress of their application.
The humorous spot, directed by Plaza Film’s Paul Middleditch, aims to promote UBank’s ‘easy-to-use’ online home loan application tracker.
The online tracker allows customers to follow the realtime progress of their application, removing the need for customers to always make a phone call for a status update.
“UBank is about simplifying banking in order to improve people’s lives. Out of the mouths of babes, our latest campaign highlights just how simple the UHomeLoan process is compared to more antiquated banking experiences,” The Monkeys creative director Scott Dettrick said.
UBank chief marketing officer Jo Kelly added: “While our new campaign comes complete with a healthy dose of humour, it also shows how UBank is taking the pain out of the process, so customers can get just the home loan they need without the hassle.”
