Move over Sylvester Stallone, Warburtons in the UK has teamed up with a new celebrity, or should I say, celebrities.
In Warburtons latest ad the Muppets come together in a fun-loving musical rendition for the launch of its new Giant Crumpets just in time for Christmas.
Kermit is joined by Pepe the Prawn, the Swedish Chef, Fozzie Bear, Statler and Waldorf, Sweetums, and the inimitable Miss Piggy to top last year's Walburton Christmas ad.
The gang set out to convince Jonathan Warburton persuade Jonathan Warburton, chairman of the family business, to join them in their latest venture: The Giant Crumpet Show. Miss Piggy even went as far to try to seduce Warburton in the video.
The 120-second commercial is part of a £25 million campaign to launch the bakery brand's new Giant Crumpet's range, claiming the only way to make the UK favourite better, is to make it bigger.
Creative director Billy Faithful from WCRS, the agency behind the campaign, said the idea came from knowing that this year's Christmas campaign had to be bigger than Stallone.
“The only thing that mattered for the follow up was being as big, if not bigger than Sly. Bigger scale, bigger laughs, broader appeal," said Faithful.
The ad launched on the 14 November on ITV, and now can be seen on YouTube.
