Ian Thorpe fronts the latest campaign encouraging Australians to vote yes in the same-sex marriage postal survey.
The Australian Marriage Equality group has launched a new campaign encouraging Australian’s to “get it done” and vote yes in the upcoming marriage equality postal survey.
Just yesterday the High Court gave the green light to the postal vote, rejecting a legal challenge to the controversial survey.
The 30-second TV ad, created by 1 Kent St, features Olympic swimmer Ian Thorpe, the Hawthorn Football club, AFL stars, a priest, the Sydney Convicts rugby team alongside families and friends. Each person is walking together to the post box to vote yes.
It introduces the tagline: “Let’s get it done”.
“It’s about a fair go, everyone should be treated equally. I’m doing it for my brother,” says one person.
A priest says: "I'm doing it because it's the right thing to do."
