Politicians would be used to having their words taken and twisted, however in the latest campaign for the Australian Aid coalition Malcolm Turnbull's words are mixed together to create a whole new meaning.

Ahead of the midyear economic forecast announcements, the Campaign for Australian Aid coalition has launched a new video, featuring a montage of speeches by Turnbull.

Through some skillful editing Turnbull has delivered the kind of speech the organisation has been waiting to hear for years, an increase in our investment in Australian aid.

“Australian aid is one of Australia’s greatest achievements but in the last two years, the Government has made the largest ever cuts to our aid program abandoning Australia’s promise to the world's most promising people and damaging our international reputation,” said executive officer for the campaign for Australian Aid, Tony Milne.

“We’re calling on Turnbull to take the first step to repairing Australian aid by stopping the fourth consecutive cut and beginning the journey to fulfill our global promise of investing 0.7% of our GNI to aid,” he added.
