Beautiful scenery, a woman in a flowy dress and a soaring eagle sounds like the three-pronged attack for a luxury car ad except this spot is for a tractor.
Kubota Australia has launched its newest tractor, the Grand X and wanted a grand campaign to go with it. The spot parodies the typical luxury car TVC, evoking glamour and wealth when suddenly we're confronted with a tractor instead of a car on the long windy road.
Redhanded's creative group head, Dan Forrestal said “By poking fun at luxury car ads we could use the conventions of that genre to sell, of all things, a tractor. And we got to make an ad with helicopter shots, models, winding coast roads, and animal metaphors.”
The TVC will be supported by cinema, print and online.
