The Australian Red Cross has launched a new integrated campaign in an attempt to attract 100,000 new donors this year.
The campaign highlights that people are always willing to help out family, friends and the community and this should translate over to donating blood.
Red Cross Blood Service's national marketing & community relations director, Alyson Pearce said “With this new creative strategy, we want to normalise (but not trivialise) giving blood - by aligning it with something Australians do almost without question - helping people who need a hand. The intent of the campaign is to basically inspire social change. Our challenge is to communicate the ongoing need for regular donation and inspire potential donors to take action and encourage others to join them."
