Sometimes it's hard to find the impetus to do something to help those less fortunate. But Save the Children is asking you to do nothing to help kids caught up in the Syrian conflict.

The not-for-profit organisation has teamed up with Isobar Melbourne to develop the campaign which is asking Australians to give up something small in a fundraising effort. Which could mean donating the $100 you saved by not going out on Saturday night or the $16 raised by sacrificing your daily coffee.

The campaign consists of a TV ad with involvement from Tex Perkins and Felix Riebl from the Cat Empire, online media and out-of-home executions such as train and ferry wraps and guerilla posters.

"We're asking everyone to give up something small and donate the savings, which will make a huge difference for Syrian families and children," Save the Children marketing and direct channels manager Cameron McPherson said.

"More than four million Syrian children have had their lives ripped apart, with many forced to flee their homes, often in the middle of the night with nothing but the clothes on their back. It's a heartbreaking situation, but aid agencies like Save the Children are on the ground in Syria and surrounding countries providing critical support to children and families."

Isobar Australia managing director Konrad Spilva said: "Every came together so quickly because everyone gave up their time and talent to a really worthwhile cause."
