The Victoria Racing Club has kicked off a campaign to promote the 2011 Melbourne Cup Carnival.
Created by Advertising Associates and liquidcreative, the campaign features a reworked version of the Planet Funk song "Chase the Sun" played over four stories of getting ready - a horse and strapper, a chef, a couple, and a jockey.
The television campaign launched with a 60-second spot, with a 30-second to air as the event gets closer, as well as a series of 15-second retail spots to follow for each of the big days over the carnival - Derby, Cup, Oaks and Stakes.
