Animal rights organisation PETA has launched a confronting ad to stop primates being used in the entertainment industry.
The campaign, created by BBDO New York, uses CGI technology to tell the solmen story of an ape who been forced to work in the film industry and "beaten and abused" behind the scenes. Of course, no real apes were used in the commercial, demonstrating how life-like CGI creations can appear.
The campaign aims to run on TV using donated time along with cinema and online. It will be supported by the website GreatApePledge.org.
