South Australian Government has put out a request for proposals for a media planning and buying agency.
The statement outlines that the SA government is looking for a “master media agency” for all advertising by South Australian Government agencies.
The contract will be managed by the Department of the Premier and Cabinet and covers media planning, placement and buying for all advertising by the state Government.
The three-year contract will come into effect on 1 July 2015. There will also be an option to extend for two years.
Submissions close on 24 December 2014. An industry briefing session will be held on held on 21 November.
The account is thought to be worth around $30 million.
MEC currently holds the business, and earned a two-year extension on the contract last year.
Peter Vogel, MEC CEO, told AdNews that the agency would be part of the pitch process to retain the account, which is open to public tender as part of a required statutory review.
