AWARD puts out call for entries
AWARD has put out its call for entries for its 2010 ceremony. This year's awards will be given for: Film and Video, Craft in Film, Print, Integrated Campaign, Poster and Outdoor, Ambient, Print Craft, Radio, Direct Marketing, Design, Digital, and Creative Innovation.
Eurobest introduces two categories
LONDON: The Eurobest Advertising Festival has announced it will be adding two categories, Mobile and PR, to its upcoming awards festival. There is now a total of 13 entry sections within the festival's framework. The festival will take place on 7-8 December 2010.
Students elect Gillard Government
The results of Student Voice 2010, Google's simulated election for 15 to 17 year-olds, was announced today. The hypothetical election results would see a Gillard Labor Government returned to power, with The Greens taking the balance of power in the Senate.
Omnicom appoints Akbarian
NEW YORK: Omnicom Group has appointed Dara Akbarian as senior vice president and chief financial officer Asia Pacific India Middle East Africa (APIMA). Akbarian returns to Omnicom Group from Highline Capital Management, which he joined in 2008 to spearhead the hedge fund’s investment efforts in the technology, media and telecommunications sectors. Prior to Highline, Akbarian spent five years at Omnicom as senior vice president, overseeing corporate M&A initiatives.
