GroupM agency MEC has appointed James Graver as its new national head of digital.

Graver will make the jump from OMD London where he was digital strategy head for more than two years, working on clients including PepsiCo and McDonald’s.

MEC's CEO James Hier said that Graver's “calibre and skill will accelerate our current success to create even better results for our clients in the future.”

“At MEC, digital is integrated through all areas of our business and it’s what makes us stand out from the competition,” he said.

Before joining OMD, Graver helped establish MEC China’s digital strategy offering in Beijing and played a key role in setting up MEC London’s digital strategy team.

In his new position, Graver will be based in Sydney and will focus on integrating MEC’s digital product across its offices in Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Graver said: “I’ve always loved MEC’s culture of commitment to growth for its clients and people and it’s great to be back among it. MEC has always been an agency that led the way in proving effectiveness and outcomes for clients, and I am looking forward to playing a lead role in delivering on our data ambitions and achieving transformational change for all clients.”
