Wesfarmers retail company Kmart is pitching its creative account, sources say.

The incumbent is Dentsu Creative which has held the account on and off for about 14 years.

Dentsu Creative won the account in 2022 from DDB which secured the account in 2020. Prior, the account was held by BWM Dentsu for 10 years.

Industry insiders tell AdNews Dentsu is not likely to repitch on the account.

Dentsu Creative is active on the pitch front. One source told AdNews "dentsu pitches on everything."

The agency was recently on the shortlist for Defence Force recruitment and ANZ Bank. The agency also secured the global account for Adobe.

The agency also lost the final piece of a heritage client Toyota this year, the brand handed its retail and value chain communications portfolio to Publicis' Saatchi & Saatchi.

Dentsu had no comment.

Kmart did not reply to AdNews at time of publishing.
