EXCLUSIVE: Deepend has been reappointed to Sydney Theatre Company’s digital account following a pitch against two international agencies.

Deepend has been working with the Sydney Theatre Company (STC) for eight years and pitched against American-based agencies POP and Lynch2. Deepend will work on digital marketing projects and implement a new ticketing platform called Tessitura.

Harnessing the power of digital is one of STC’s strategies to build a successful and sustainable business. According to STC’s annual report, last year the organisation invested significantly in digital marketing activities to acknowledge the importance of the platform in shaping campaigns. The STC indicated the trend towards digital would continue in future marketing plans.

Deepend group business director Chris Crammond said: “Deepend are extremely proud to have been reappointed as STC’s digital agency partner. It represents a commitment from both Deepend and STC to the creative industries in Australia, and is testament to the fact that local talent can produce leading-edge design and development on a world-class stage."

With artistic directors Cate Blanchett and Andrew Upton at the helm, the theatre group has big plans on the table for theatre and the arts in Australia.
