Video-on-demand (VOD) service Movie Network Channels has expanded online with the launch of an IPTV service and a premium YouTube channel.

Working in partnership with Omnilab Media's The Playroom, Movie Network Channels has developed an online VOD service for its film content.

The service can be accessed through the portal site moviebox.tv or on IPTV service FetchTV. It has also launched a premium YouTube channel.

Movie Network Channels general manager, marketing, Peter Jenetsky said: "The moviebox.tv portal is one of the first successful implementations of a VOD subscription service in Australia. The mnv.tv YouTube channel represents an advertising VOD model for The Movie Network Channels and a successful brand extension.

"It also brings Movie Network Channels to a wider audience as part of a broader social media integration strategy that includes Facebook and Twitter."
