Subway launches Aussie brand campaign
BRISBANE: The second stage of Subway’s first-ever Australian brand campaign launches this Sunday (22 February), with media communications agency Starcom securing a number of well-known personalities from Foxtel and Network Ten to feature in a series of promotions doing their version of the “Subway Shuffle”. Subway enlisted Publicis Mojo Brisbane to create the first stage of the campaign, which featured a TVC with people doing the “Subway Shuffle”. Subway launched the campaign hoping to reinvigorate the brand's identity and position itself as the country’s leading feel-good, fresh food, quick service restaurant. Media agency Starcom also developed an online campaign including takeovers of relevant sections of Ninemsn, Yahoo!7 and YouTube.
Samsung to take on Nokia’s top spot
SYDNEY: Samsung Electronics has made two senior executive appointments in new roles to help it realise its goal of toppling Nokia off the number one mobile perch in Australia by 2010. Tyler McGee joins as vice president telecommunications and Maxime Bonpain as head of marketing on the mobile team. McGee was previously president of Nokia Japan & vice president North East Asia, while Bonpain was responsible for Samsung brand management in London.
